Taluryan is an extra large map of 144 by 144 tiles with an underground level, set on the lands west of the Valley of the Ancients. Its wild tribes feud with one another but stand united within their own borders, which makes them a formidable force that would be very hard to conquer. Rock covers much of the terrain, with grass, snow and dirt making up most of the rest and water a small share. Eight players start on the map, but only one seat can be human, and the other seven are computer-controlled with no teams. The factions are Castle, Stronghold, Conflux, Fortress, Necropolis and Tower. Victory requires defeating a specific hero, and a player loses by losing one. The Grail, 73 mines, 23 monoliths and portals, and 21 towns are placed across the map.
