Save Astral is a small 36 by 36 map with an underground level, built for Shadow of Death and set to Normal difficulty. It supports two players, but only one can be human, and the Necropolis side under Blue is computer-controlled. There are no teams. The Tower faction faces the Necropolis, and victory requires obtaining the Air Magic book by first freeing Astral and gaining his help. A player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The land is mostly dirt, with swamp, sand and subterranean ground, and about seven percent water. The map holds nine towns and three starting heroes. Notable features include an Archangel and a Cerberus among the wandering monsters, and Armageddon's Blade among the placed artifacts.
