The map СОН is an extra-large underground map for Shadow of Death, sized 144 by 144 tiles and played on Normal difficulty. Its author's description, translated, talks about a hero leaving a family castle to restore order against treacherous neighbors, while a subterranean horror threatens to break free. Four colors take part, with one human player allowed, and the other three are computer-controlled: Blue, Tan and Pink. There are no teams. Red plays Castle, Blue plays Rampart, Tan plays Stronghold, and Pink mixes Rampart and Inferno. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The map has sixteen towns, five placed heroes, and about a quarter of its surface is water. Players will find 98 mines, 43 creature banks, several Grail-bearing objects, and a range of artifacts and wandering stacks, including Black Dragons and Arch Mages.
