Simpler Than Simple is a medium Shadow of Death map of 72 by 72 tiles with an underground level, played on Normal difficulty. Four players take part, and up to two can be human, while the Green and Orange colors are computer-controlled. There are no teams. Each player may choose from all seven factions: Castle, Rampart, Tower, Inferno, Necropolis, Dungeon, and Conflux. Water covers about 42 percent of the map, with dirt, rock, and subterranean ground making up much of the rest. Victory requires transporting a specific artifact, the Legionnaire statue, to the Center, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. The map holds five towns, 28 mines, 45 monoliths and portals, and the Grail, along with several dragon stacks.
