Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Treacherous Pact is a large Shadow of Death map measuring 108 by 108 tiles, played on an underground level at Normal difficulty. Three colors take part, but Red is computer-controlled, so up to two human players can join. The map uses two teams, and each color starts with a random faction. According to the author's note, two rival lords have formed an alliance against the player, and the goal is to eliminate both. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero. Rock covers about half the map, with grass and water making up much of the rest. Five towns and four heroes are placed, along with wandering dragons and 108 random monster stacks. Notable finds include 29 mines, six creature banks, two seer huts, and artifacts such as the Cards of Prophecy and the Clover of Fortune.
