Pirates of the Caribbean is an Extra Large map of 144 by 144 tiles for Shadow of Death, set on an underground level and played at Normal difficulty. The author's description refers to pirate adventures, and the map mixes subterranean ground with sea, with water covering about a quarter of its area. Four players can take part, but only one can be human, and Blue, Tan and Green are computer-controlled. There are no teams. Red plays Stronghold, Blue and Tan play Castle, and Green plays Necropolis. Victory requires defeating one specific hero, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The map includes five towns, six starting heroes, seven mines and ten creature banks. Wandering Ice Elementals and Evil Eyes are the most common stacks, and placed artifacts include the Boots of Speed and the Tome of Earth Magic.
