Song of Fire and Ice is an extra large 144 by 144 map for Shadow of Death, with underground levels and an Expert difficulty setting. It draws on a kingdom where the king has died, an underage Lannister bastard holds the throne, and rival lords refuse to accept his rule while the Others stir beyond the northern Wall. Eight colors fill the map, with up to seven human players in six teams. Purple is computer-only and plays Necropolis, while the others play Castle. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero. Rock covers nearly half the terrain, with water, snow, and grass making up much of the rest. Forty towns, 78 mines, and 48 creature banks are spread across the land, along with placed artifacts such as the Sword of Hellfire.
