This large underground map for Shadow of Death is rated Impossible and seats five players, with four open to humans and the fifth, Tan, controlled only by the computer. Each player is a count drawn into a risky hunt. For two centuries villagers have suffered from a ghost that suddenly appears in their settlements and carries off people, and an emperor has offered a great reward to whoever destroys it. The factions are Castle, Tower, Necropolis, Rampart and Stronghold, with no teams. Victory requires defeating every enemy, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Rock covers 48 percent of the 108 by 108 terrain, with water, grass and swamp filling the rest. Twenty towns, wandering stacks of Wraiths, Cyclops Kings and Naga Queens, 37 random artifacts, 16 mines and 13 monoliths and portals shape the contest.
