Azure Coast is an extra large surface map of 144 by 144 tiles for five players, all of whom can be human, with no teams and Impossible difficulty. The author frames it as a hunt held once a decade in the south of the lands, where the prey is the Azure Dragon, the mightiest and most merciless creature there. Water covers about 27 percent of the terrain, with sand, grass and dirt making up most of the rest. Red plays Stronghold, Blue Rampart, Orange Castle, Teal Inferno and Pink Necropolis. Victory requires accumulating 30 creatures, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. The map has 23 towns, 46 mines and 61 random artifacts, with 21 Azure Dragon stacks and six Crystal Dragon stacks wandering alongside 18 monoliths and portals.
