It covers 144 by 144 tiles on a single level with an underground layer, and nearly half its area is water, with snow and rock covering much of the rest. Seven players are placed, but Purple is computer-only, so up to six humans can play in four teams. Red and Purple use Castle, Purple also has Tower, and the other players are Inferno, Stronghold, Conflux, Necropolis, and Dungeon. Victory requires defeating a specific hero, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Fire Elementals roam in large numbers, and artifacts such as the Crown of the Supreme Magi are placed around the map. The author notes that north and south are reversed relative to the usual layout, so east and west appear swapped.
