Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Wheel of Time is an Extra Large Shadow of Death map (144 by 144) with underground levels, rated Expert. It is built for four players, but only one can be human, and the Blue, Tan, and Green players are computer-controlled. Red plays Necropolis, Blue Castle, Tan Tower, and Green Stronghold, with no teams. The story follows a king and his paladin companion into abandoned dungeons, where the betrayal and death of the king are followed by his return as a vampire. Water covers about a third of the surface, with rock, subterranean terrain, and some sand. The map holds 12 towns, 63 mines, 16 creature banks, and 20 monoliths and portals. Notable finds include Titan's Thunder, Boots of Speed, and a Wizard's Well. Victory and defeat both depend on specific heroes.
