Golden Dragon Wings is a medium 72x72 map for Heroes of Might and Magic III: Shadow of Death, with an underground level alongside the surface. The author's description says that dragons have hoarded their wealth since ancient times, and whoever claims that treasure will rule the land. Eight players are placed, but only two can be human, with the other six controlled by the computer, and the players are grouped into three teams. Every player starts with a random faction, and the difficulty is set to Impossible. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while a player loses once all towns and heroes are gone. Water covers about 43 percent of the map, with the rest mostly grass, rough ground and subterranean terrain. The map holds 26 towns, 35 mines, 22 randomly placed artifacts, and 17 monoliths and portals, plus 11 Gold Dragon stacks and 2 Azure Dragon stacks roaming the land.
