"Golden Heart" is a large Expert-level map measuring 108 by 108 with an underground level. Four players are placed, but only one can be human, taking the Blue side with Rampart. The computer controls Orange (Inferno and Dungeon), Purple (Tower, Necropolis and Fortress) and Teal (Castle). There are no teams. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses if a specific hero falls. Rock and grass cover most of the terrain, with some subterranean ground and water. The map holds 18 towns, 33 mines and the Grail, plus wandering Gold Dragons, Beholders and placed artifacts such as the Hellstorm Helmet and the Speculum. The description opens with a children's rhyme about a golden demon living within people.
