The title hints at a deathmatch, and this Shadow of Death map is an Extra Large 144 by 144 battlefield with an underground level, rated Hard. Four players can take part, with up to two human participants, while the computer controls Tan, which plays Necropolis, and Pink, which plays Stronghold. The players form three teams, and Red and Blue receive random factions. The author built the map around a direct duel between two sides, but notes it is meant mainly for single-player, since its size makes a quick cavalry rush ineffective. Terrain is mostly rock, grass and rough ground, with a little water. The map includes 28 towns, 301 random monster stacks, six Azure Dragon stacks, 35 monoliths and portals, and 12 creature banks. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes.
