Voivode is a large 108 by 108 map with an underground level, built for five players, each of whom can be human. There are no teams, so every player fights for themselves. The five sides are Dungeon, Castle, Stronghold, Inferno, and Necropolis. The author frames the map around the political future of Vojvodina, a northern autonomous province of Yugoslavia, and lets players pick among several political and ethnic positions before taking up their cause. Terrain is mostly rock and grass, with some water and subterranean ground. The map holds 23 towns, 44 mines, five creature banks, and a number of notable artifacts, including the Crown of the Supreme Magi and the Endless Sack of Gold. To win, a player must defeat all enemies. A player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The difficulty is set to Normal.
