Temple of the Damned is a large underground map for Shadow of Death, measuring 108 by 108 tiles and rated Hard. Eight players share the field, with up to four human participants and the other four colors controlled by the computer. The players form two teams, and each side is set against the other. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while losing means having no towns or heroes left. Rock covers about 39 percent of the terrain and water about 27 percent, with subterranean and lava areas making up smaller shares. The map holds 26 towns, 16 heroes, 58 mines, 29 creature banks, and eight monoliths and portals, along with the Grail and several artifacts, including the Cards of Prophecy and the Cape of Conjuring.
