Apocalypse is a medium 72 by 72 map for Shadow of Death with an underground level. It is rated Impossible and supports eight players, with up to six human participants, while the Teal and Pink colors are reserved for computer control. Seven teams are set up, and each color plays a different town type: Fortress, Castle, Inferno, Stronghold, Necropolis, Rampart, Dungeon, and Conflux. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while a player loses by losing every town and hero. Water covers about a fifth of the land. Seventeen towns and eight starting heroes are placed, and wandering dragons, including Azure and Crystal types, roam the land.
