Brave New World is a large 108 by 108 map for eight players, all of whom can be human, with no teams and random factions for every side. The scenario is set after a violent earthquake that split the continents and redrew their borders, and players emerge from shelters to rebuild. Water covers about 31 percent of the surface, with rough and dirt terrain making up much of the rest. The map holds eleven towns, 53 mines, ten creature banks and eight seer huts, plus dwellings for Pixies, Crystal Dragons and Rust Dragons. Notable artifacts include the Celestial Necklace of Bliss, the Clover of Fortune and the Orb of Silt. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero. The difficulty is normal.
