Berserk is an Extra Large Armageddon's Blade map measuring 144 by 144 tiles, played on the surface only. It supports four players, all of them human-capable, with no teams and no computer-only colors, and each side starts with a random faction. Terrain is mostly rough ground with the rest dirt, and there is no water. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while a player loses once all towns and heroes are gone. The Grail is placed near the center, guarded by creature stacks. The map is dense with content: 14 towns, 72 creature banks, 21 mines, five seer huts, four monoliths and portals, and 51 random artifacts. Six named artifacts are set out on the map, including the Shackles of War and the Mystic Orb of Mana.
