Armageddon is a medium underground map of 72 by 72 tiles for two players, though only one can be human, with the Blue side controlled by the computer. Blue plays Castle and Green plays Rampart, and there are no teams. The map is set on a rocky, grassy world at Normal difficulty, and the central threat is a fairy-tale dragon whose slow armageddon spell must be stopped before time runs out. Victory requires defeating a specific monster, and the player loses if a specific hero falls. Wandering stacks include Efreet Sultans, Gold Dragons and Phoenixes, while the map holds ten mines, two seer huts, four creature banks and eight monoliths and portals. Artifacts such as Dragon Scale Armor and the Orb of the Firmament are scattered across the terrain.
