This medium surface map covers 72 by 72 tiles and supports two players, with one human seat at most and the Blue side controlled by the computer. Red plays Rampart against Blue's Inferno, and there are no teams. Grass covers about half the land, with rough ground, water, and snow making up much of the rest. The story follows a great elf who, after a run of misfortunes, sets out to confront death itself to find the source of his troubles. Victory requires defeating every enemy, while losing one specific town ends the game. Wandering dragons and a Chaos Hydra roam the land, a Devil dwelling stands on the map, and the Grail is placed here alongside several artifacts, including Armageddon's Blade. Nine mines and two seer huts offer further targets on the Normal difficulty setting.
