Each player starts with a different faction, from Castle to Dungeon. The terrain is mostly grass, dirt, and rough ground, with water covering about eleven percent. The author describes a large, detailed country to explore, and the Grail is placed on the map, so a player can win by building a Grail structure or by defeating all rivals. A player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Notable features include 27 towns, 120 mines, 88 creature banks, nineteen water elementals in the waters, several placed artifacts, and four monoliths and portals.
