Ill Repute of the Swamps is a medium 72x72 map for Restoration of Erathia, with an underground level and Normal difficulty. Five players take part, with up to two human seats, while Blue, Tan and Orange are computer-controlled. There are no teams. Red, Blue, Tan and Green receive random factions, and Orange plays Necropolis. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero. Rock covers most of the land, with grass, swamp and water making up the rest. The map contains nine towns, 29 artifacts, 18 mines and four monoliths or portals, along with wandering stacks of Minotaur Kings, Medusa Queens and a single Black Dragon. The author's note playfully suggests that a neighbor's greener lawn is hard to ignore when you live in the swamp.
