Вокруг острова is a medium 72x72 map for four players, with an underground level included. Each of the four kingdoms, all with random factions, starts on land ringed by a lake, and the only route to the neighbouring territory runs around the water, though the author hints that travel underground may also be possible. Teams are not used, and every colour is controlled by a human player, so up to four people can play at once. Victory comes from defeating all enemies, while a player loses once all towns and heroes are gone. The map holds five towns, 26 mines, 21 randomly placed artifacts, seven creature banks, five monoliths or portals, and 101 wandering monster stacks. Dwellings include Griffins, Dwarves, Stone Gargoyles, Gogs, Beholders, Orcs, Lizardmen and Water Elementals.
