Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
This Lord of the Rings themed map is set in a time of war in which all of Middle-earth has been drawn into conflict. The author describes a united force of men and elves, and the only way to regain control is to return the Ring of Power to its rightful master. It is a large 108 by 108 map with underground levels, played on hard difficulty. Seven players are slotted, with at most one human, and they form four teams. The factions are Necropolis, Tower, two Castles, Stronghold with Fortress, Rampart, and Inferno. Rock covers about 42 percent of the terrain and water 16 percent. Victory requires transporting a specific artifact, and a player loses if a specific hero falls. Among the placed items are the Golden Bow and the Crown of Dragontooth, and the map holds 59 mines and 13 creature banks.
