Moria is a medium underground map of 72 by 72 tiles for three players, with at most two human participants and the red side controlled by the computer. There are no teams. Raiders have broken an uneasy peace between two realms divided by a mountain range, and the player must drive the orcs out of the northern castle while also dealing with a troublesome neighbor. Blue may choose from eight factions, including Conflux, while Green and Red draw from a narrower set. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing every town and hero. The land is mostly grass and rock, with some subterranean ground. Notable finds include a Sword of Judgement, endless gold sacks, Medusa Queen stacks, and a wandering Gold Dragon.
