Magic War — SoD
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Magic War is a large surface map of 108 by 108 tiles, rated Expert, for six players, with up to four human participants. Orange and Purple are computer-only and play Stronghold, while Red, Blue, Tan and Teal play Tower. There are no fixed teams. According to the author's description, the masters of the four main schools of magic fall into conflict and go to war, while a barbarian king waits to exploit the moment. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player is eliminated after losing every town and hero. The terrain is mostly grass, with rough, snow and swamp ground and a little water. Notable features include twelve Titan stacks, eleven Enchanter stacks, several dragon stacks, 56 mines and the Sandals of the Saint.
