Macht und Größe is an Extra Large 144x144 Armageddon's Blade map with an underground level, rated Expert, for eight players, seven of whom can be human, with Teal reserved for the computer. There are no fixed teams. The factions are Rampart, Conflux, Tower, Necropolis, Castle, Inferno, Stronghold and Dungeon, one per color. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses once all towns and heroes are gone. Water covers about 31 percent of the surface, with grass, swamp and dirt making up most of the rest. The map holds 48 towns and 143 mines, along with wandering stacks of Gold Golems, Storm Elementals and Royal Griffins, a Grail, and a large set of placed artifacts. The author describes a struggle for power in which a player must grow their realm and army before stronger rivals overwhelm them.
