Los portales del cielo is a large, underground-enabled Heroes III map for 108 by 108 tiles, built for the Restoration of Erathia version and set at Expert difficulty. Five players take part, with only one human player allowed and four computer-controlled colors: Red as Fortress, Green as Stronghold, Purple as Necropolis, Pink as Inferno, and Orange as Castle. No teams are defined. The story casts the player as Angelus, tasked with gathering four angelic portals before an invasion from the Underworld arrives, with an ally named Angelico offering help. Victory requires flagging every creature dwelling, and losing a specific hero ends the game. Rock, water, and swamp cover much of the terrain, and the map holds the Grail, twelve placed artifacts, and an Angel dwelling among its many mines, monoliths, and creature banks.
