Lord of The Rings {2.1} is an Extra Large 144 by 144 map for Shadow of Death, with an underground level and an Expert difficulty rating. Its classic adventure story follows the Lord of the Rings theme, and this version fixes bugs from the previous release, adds new adventures, and gives the heroes new portraits. Eight players are split into three teams, but only one seat is human, and the other seven are computer-controlled. Factions include Castle, Rampart, Tower, Stronghold, Inferno, Dungeon, Necropolis, and Fortress. The map has 43 towns, 125 mines, and the Grail, along with wandering Wood Elves, Archangels, and Minotaur Kings. Victory requires transporting a specific artifact, and losing a particular hero ends the game. The author advises keeping the rings in play, searching for hidden objects, and following the comments.
