Lightning Bolt Island! is an extra large underground map of 144 by 144 tiles for eight players, with up to five human seats and the rest run by the computer at Impossible difficulty. Its story centers on servants of Hell invading the realm of the gods, and the goal is to save the Universe. Players form four teams and draw from eight factions, including Inferno, Castle, Necropolis, Tower, Stronghold, Fortress, Rampart and Dungeon. Victory requires accumulating nine million gold, and a player is defeated after losing all towns and heroes. The land is mostly rock, grass, dirt and lava, with some water. Thirty towns, 78 mines, 48 creature banks and the Grail are spread across it, and Red Dragons roam the map.
