Last Island (SoD) — SoD

Last Island is an extra large Shadow of Death map measuring 144 by 144 tiles, with an underground level included. It supports six players, all of whom can be human, with no teams and no computer-only colors. Every color starts with a random faction, and the difficulty is set to Impossible. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses once all of their towns and heroes are gone. The terrain is mostly rock, with water covering about a quarter of the surface and smaller areas of dirt and grass. Fifteen towns and fifteen heroes are placed across the map. Notable features include four Tomes of magic, a Azure Dragon guarding a wandering stack, and a large number of mines, seer huts, and creature banks. The author describes it as their last Heroes III map and says they put a great deal of imagination into it.
