Landover is a medium-sized, 72 by 72 map for Heroes of Might and Magic III: Shadow of Death, with an underground level alongside the surface. It is inspired by Terry Brooks's novel Magic Kingdom of Landover, and the description invites players to pick one of the best-selling characters from that world. Seven players each start with their own faction, Dungeon, Tower, Stronghold, Fortress, Inferno, Necropolis, and Castle, and all seven seats can be human. There are no teams, and victory comes from defeating every enemy, while losing all towns and heroes ends the game. Terrain is mostly rock, lava, grass, and snow, with only a little water. Highlights include an Angel Wings artifact, wandering Archangel, Azure Dragon, and Earth Elemental stacks, and 54 mines spread across the land.
