Khe-San — RoE

Khe-San is a medium, 72 by 72 map with an underground level, set for expert play and built for three players, two of whom can be human. Red is computer-controlled and plays Fortress, while Blue and Tan both field Castles, and the human side and the computer sides are split into two teams. The author frames it as a Vietnam-era strategy scenario near the DMZ, where a player must hold a base through hostile jungle terrain, with booby traps to watch for. Victory means defeating all enemies, and the loss condition is losing the Khe-San town. The landscape is mostly rock and swamp with a small share of water. Highlights include a Cerberus and a Skeleton Warrior as wandering monsters, twelve artifacts such as the Still Eye of the Dragon and the Cards of Prophecy, and twenty-nine mines.
