Kamchatka Penninsula — SoD
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Kamchatka Peninsula is a large 108 by 108 map for Shadow of Death, with an underground level and a hard difficulty setting. Five players are set up, but only one can be human, and the other four are computer-controlled. There are no teams. The human player takes the Castle faction, while the computer players field Necropolis, Inferno, and Stronghold, and a fifth player receives a random faction. Victory requires defeating every enemy, and a player loses once all towns and heroes are gone. Water covers about 30 percent of the land, with rock, dirt, and grass making up the rest. Wandering Gold Golems and dragons roam the map, which also contains mines, monoliths and portals, and artifacts such as Armageddon's Blade. The description presents the map as a campaign to conquer a distant, unknown land by destroying all opponents.
