Overview

Join or Die is an extra large 144 by 144 map with an underground level, played by eight players, of whom up to four can be human, split into two teams. Four colors are computer-only, and the factions are Fortress, Tower, Castle, Rampart, Stronghold, Inferno, Necropolis and Dungeon. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while a player loses once all towns and heroes are gone. Rock covers about 45 percent of the land, water about 21 percent and grass about 6 percent. The map is rated Hard. Seventeen towns and fifty-four mines are scattered across the terrain, and wandering stacks of Efreet, Pit Fiends and Horned Demons are among the strongest threats encountered. The author describes a dark force rising from below the surface, and the map is built around players and allies pushing back against it.
