Illusion World 2 is an extra large map of 144 by 144 tiles with an underground level, designed for eight players who each control a different faction: Castle, Rampart, Stronghold, Tower, Fortress, Dungeon, Necropolis and Inferno. No teams are set, and all eight colors can be played by humans. The difficulty is Impossible. Victory requires defeating every enemy, and a player is eliminated after losing all towns and heroes. The author describes a land of magic where the aim is mastery of the world while staying alert to deceptions, since other forces share the realm. Water covers about a quarter of the map, with swamp, grass and sand making up most of the rest. The map holds 30 towns, 129 mines, 64 creature banks, 4 seer huts and 12 monoliths and portals, along with many placed artifacts and wandering monsters such as skeletons and walking dead.
