Hyborian War — RoE

Hyborian War is an extra large map measuring 144 by 144, with an underground level and a normal difficulty setting. It supports up to eight players, all of whom may be human, with no teams and no computer-only colors. Each player starts with a single faction, except the Teal player, who controls both Castle and Tower. The factions in play are Inferno, Tower, Dungeon, Castle, Necropolis, and Fortress. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses when all of their towns and heroes are gone. Rock covers about a third of the terrain, with water and grass making up most of the rest. The map holds 48 towns, 18 heroes, and 242 wandering monster stacks, along with eight artifacts placed by the designer, including Titan's Gladius and Angel Wings. Conan's prison is a notable feature: freeing him grants a powerful ally.
