Hunting is a large underground map of 108 by 108 tiles, mostly rock with patches of grass, water and swamp. As the description puts it, the story centers on counts who have been plagued for two centuries by a phantom that snatches villagers, and on an emperor's reward for whoever destroys it. Five players take part, up to four of them human, and the Tan player is computer-only. There are no teams. The factions are Castle, Tower, Necropolis, Rampart and Stronghold, set on Impossible difficulty. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses after losing every town and hero. The map holds 20 towns, 37 random artifacts, 16 mines, 10 seer huts, 13 monoliths and portals, and roaming Wraiths and Cyclops Kings.
