Hoard — AB

Hoard is a medium 72 by 72 map for four players, with an underground level and Normal difficulty. Up to three humans can take part, and the Blue player is computer-controlled only. There are no teams. Red plays Castle and Fortress, Blue plays Rampart and Fortress, Green plays Inferno and Stronghold, and Orange plays Necropolis and Stronghold. The setting is a homeland left to defend while the main armies are fighting a distant war, so players rely on older heroes and cheaper troops. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The map holds 12 towns, 10 heroes, 47 mines, 7 creature banks, and 48 random monster stacks, with rock, subterranean, lava, and grass covering most of the terrain.
