Red plays Stronghold, Blue Necropolis, Tan Rampart, Green Castle, Orange Conflux, Purple Inferno, Pink Dungeon, and Teal alternates between Tower and Fortress. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Subterranean ground covers over half the map, and water makes up about a sixth. The map holds 37 towns, 16 starting heroes, and the Grail, and its wandering monsters include ten Bone Dragon stacks.
