GoldHeart is a large underground map measuring 108 by 108 tiles, set for Expert difficulty in the Restoration of Erathia version. Four computer-controlled players occupy the map, with only one human player permitted, and no teams are defined. The Blue player fields Rampart, Orange controls Inferno and Dungeon, Purple leads Necropolis and Fortress, and Teal plays Castle. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while a loss occurs if a specific hero falls. Rock covers about a third of the terrain, with grass, subterranean ground and water making up the rest. Notable features include nine heroes, eighteen towns, a Grail, and nine named artifacts such as the Hellstorm Helmet and Red Dragon Flame Tongue, alongside wandering Gold Dragons and Beholders. Mines, seer huts, creature banks and monoliths are also scattered across the map.
