Glory Heroes — SoD

Glory Heroes is a large 108 by 108 map with an underground level, designed for four players, all of whom can be human, with no teams. Red plays Rampart, Blue plays Castle, Green plays Dungeon, and Orange plays Necropolis. The author's note says life is harsh, only the strongest will endure, and war is the only real option. Each player starts with a Castle, and the central rule is simply to stay alive. Water covers about 45 percent of the map, with grass making up most of the rest. The difficulty is rated hard. Wandering monsters include Black Dragons, Ghost Dragons, a Vampire Lord, and several stacks of Phoenixes and Fire Elementals. Notable placed items include the Grail and artifacts such as the Amulet of the Undertaker and the Statesman's Medal. Victory requires defeating all enemies, and a player loses when all their towns and heroes are gone.
