Glistering Island — HotA 1.3.0+

Glistering Island is a two-player medium map measuring 72 by 72, with an underground level, designed for Horn of the Abyss 1.3.0 or later. The island is mostly rock, with water covering about a quarter of the surface and swamp and grass filling the rest. Red plays as Castle and Blue as Cove, with no teams and no computer-only colors, so both seats are human. Victory comes from defeating every enemy, and a player loses once all their towns and heroes are gone. The map holds two towns, ten mines, six seer huts, fourteen creature banks, and a set of placed artifacts that includes the Endless Sack of Gold and the Ring of Infinite Gems. Wandering monsters range from Serpent Flies to Sea Serpents, and seven timed events are scheduled across the game. The author's note is a short remark about how value is subjective.
