Fossil of the Punisher — RoE
Overview
Written from the facts in this map's file
Fossil of the Punisher is a large underground map of 108 by 108 tiles for four players, all of whom can be human. Each player takes one of four factions: Castle, Inferno, Necropolis, or Tower, and there are no teams, so every side plays alone. The author warns that the challenge is harsh, and the map is rated Expert. Rock covers about 38 percent of the surface and water about 30 percent, with snow and lava making up the rest. Victory requires defeating all enemies, while a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. Notable features include the Grail, 16 creature banks, 36 mines, 10 monoliths and portals, and several strong artifacts such as the Dragon Scale Armor and the Endless Bag of Gold.
