Forest Lord is an extra-large underground map for Restoration of Erathia, set on a 144 by 144 grid with a difficulty rating of Expert. The author has no name listed, and the premise is that the hero Saron, a Forest Lord, must leave a village that other warlords have decided to conquer, descend underground, take the Grand Mage's castle, recover a great staff, and defeat the rival lords within a single year, with the game lost if time runs out. Eight players start on the map, one of them human, and the other seven are computer-controlled. Players are not grouped into teams. The factions include Stronghold, Necropolis, Inferno, Rampart, Fortress, and Dungeon. Rock and grass cover most of the terrain, and the map holds nineteen towns, eighty-one mines, and a number of guarded creature dwellings, along with placed artifacts such as the Boots of Speed.
