Forbidden Five is an extra large underground map for Heroes of Might and Magic III: Shadow of Death, sized 144 by 144 and played on expert difficulty. Its story centers on a hidden tribe living beneath the surface, with five isolated islands that each hold a ruthless leader who must be found and cleared. Eight colors are available, seven of them for human players and one, Green, reserved for the computer. Every player controls a single faction, with Fortress, Tower, Dungeon, Inferno, Rampart, Necropolis, Stronghold and Conflux all in play, and no teams are set. Victory requires defeating every enemy, while a player loses by losing all towns and heroes. The map is roughly a third rock, with large areas of subterranean terrain, lava and water. Highlights include 24 towns, 12 heroes, 144 mines, Faerie Dragons and Titans roaming the map, and the Grail.

Author's description

Below ground exists a secret tribe. These warriors are ruthless and must be disposed of. There are five forbidden isles, each with it's own ruthless leader. All five of these islands must be found and purged of its inhabitants. This is not an easy quest though, as no one has yet to find their way.
