Its premise casts the Ashari into a coming war between two rival powers, leaving King Andara II to rely on faith and divine help. Six players take part, but only one seat is human and the other five are computer-controlled. There are no teams. The factions are Inferno, Stronghold, Castle, Dungeon, Fortress and Tower. Victory means defeating every enemy, while losing a specific town ends the game. Subterranean terrain covers about 23 percent of the map. Highlights include 46 towns, roaming Naga Queen and Minotaur stacks, and the Crown of the Supreme Magi.
