Face to Face is an extra large Heroes of Might and Magic III map measuring 144 by 144, with an underground level included. It is set for eight players, seven of whom can be human, and the seventh-colour slot (Teal) is reserved for the computer and plays Inferno, while Orange is fixed to Stronghold and the remaining colours begin with random factions. There are no fixed teams, and the goal is to defeat all enemies, with a player losing once all their towns and heroes are gone. The terrain is mostly grass, subterranean ground and rock, with about seven percent water. The map holds 37 towns, and its wandering monsters include centaurs, ancient behemoths, titans and black dragons, alongside many mines, seer huts, creature banks and monoliths. The author describes it as balanced and built from experience.
