Extortion is a medium 72x72 underground map built for Restoration of Erathia, with no water and mostly rock and grass. Its story, as the author frames it, centers on two kingdoms conquered by the tyrant Archon Zuel, and the player must either gather enough resources to pay his tribute or seize his throne. The map supports three players, with one human seat and two computer-controlled sides, Blue and Tan, playing without teams. The human player leads the Castle faction, while the computers field Rampart and Inferno. Victory comes from flagging all mines, and a player loses by losing every town and hero. The map holds six towns, twenty-two mines, and a range of placed artifacts such as the Boots of Speed and the Endless Purse of Gold, along with a Seer Hut and four creature banks.
